Gin Train

Yes, you heard right – gin on a train! If you’re looking for something a bit special this summer (and you’re a gin lover) why not join us for an afternoon of gin tasting aboard a vintage steam train? It makes for a fantastically different gift for your gin-loving friends and family too.

We always have so much fun serving our delicious gins aboard the gin train – so we’re delighted to be back for yet another year, partnering with Severn Valley Railway to provide visitors a first-class tasting experience with a ginny-twist!

Jump onboard this award-winning attraction from Bewdley station on various dates throughout July and August to enjoy the ultimate boozy, vintage day out as we steam our way through spectacular countryside (and a number of delicious artisan gins!)

A Steaming-good day

Once you’ve finished admiring the exterior of this gorgeous full-size, steam-hauled passenger train built in 1936, you’ll jump aboard to your beautiful, reserved, first-class table in carriage LNER 7960.

You’ll firstly be welcomed with a refreshing cocktail as you steam towards Bridgnorth. Following your welcome cocktail, you’ll be presented with a summer-themed tasting menu with wonderful tasting gins and hand-selected mixers, garnishes and tasting notes.

As we meander from Bewdley to Bridgnorth and back in the afternoon sun, there’ll be something for every flavour palette, so there’s plenty to discover as we steam through the countryside.

A 45-minute stop in Bridgnorth will provide just enough time to visit The Railwayman’s pub and Refreshment room, both on Platform One of the station.

Choo-choose your favourite Gin

The return journey to Bewdley includes two more tastings, followed by a glass of your favourite gin from the tasting sequence, served with premium tonic and garnish. Additional drinks will also be available to purchase.

Customer Review

Don’t just take our word for it! Check out Trip Advisor for more great reviews.

“It was an amazing experience! All the Gins were talked about by The Little Gin Company [&] had nibbles to compliment them and they did, which made them taste so much better. I even had a favourite. After the Gin experience had ended the steam trains were available to travel on. We visited some beautiful little villages, met lots of interesting people, made new friends on and off the train. I would highly recommend this experience.”

HERE’S OUR STORY

After 4 years of being together we never thought that we would one day be in business together. Who knew where a simple text message could lead….

It all started with a conversation with Nicola at one of The Little Gin and Rum Company’s events in Leeds. Amy sent a message to Ian saying “Do you fancy buying a gin and rum company?” and the wheels were set in motion.

OUR BACKGROUND

IAN:

“As a sales professional travelling the UK and the world, I have made travelling and alcohol my thing.  With over 20 years experience supplying the hospitality industry with software and e-learning, I can’t wait to start sharing Queen Cleo Spirits with the industry I love.  You’ll usually find me with my favourite Queen Cleo Rum with ginger ale.”

AMY:

“Where Ian loves sales, I love marketing and as a digital marketing trainer and professional public speaker, I always have a lot to say.  When Nicola and Emma started virtual events in lockdown, I jumped at the opportunity to talk about gin and rum and nearly 200 events later, I still love it.  Old Tom is my favourite tipple and I’ll even drink it neat with just a cube of ice and a squeeze of lime.”

THE FUTURE

Nicola and Emma have created a gin and rum legacy and we are honoured to take it into the future.

We can’t wait to share our plans with you and we promise to make Queen Cleo proud.

You know our favourite Queen Cleo drinks and we’d love to know yours.  Share them with us on Instagram #littleginandrumco.
